Capabilities
- What is the difference between 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machining?
- The number refers to how many directions the cutting tool moves relative to the part. 3-axis moves in X, Y, and Z. 4-axis adds rotation. 5-axis adds a second rotary motion, letting the tool reach complex, contoured features in fewer setups for better accuracy.

We review your model and drawing for over-tight tolerances, hard-to-reach features, and cost drivers, then propose changes that cut cost and lead time while preserving function. The design stays yours; we make it easier to build.
- Can NCX Concepts machine and fabricate the same project?
- Yes. NCX Concepts combines precision machining with fabrication and welding under one roof. Parts that need both machined features and welded structure are produced and finished as one job, which removes the handoff between separate shops and reduces fit-up problems.
Quality, confidentiality & quoting
- How does NCX Concepts protect confidential and ITAR-controlled work?
- NCX Concepts treats confidentiality and ITAR as process requirements. We control how drawings and technical data are stored and handled, never publish customer parts or program details, and work under NDA when required, keeping sensitive aerospace and defense information protected throughout production.
- What information do you need to provide a quote?
- To quote accurately we typically need a drawing or 3D model, the quantity, the material, and any tolerance, finish, or inspection requirements. You can send these through the Request a Quote page. The more complete the package, the faster and more accurate the quote.
- What file types can I send for a quote?
- Common formats work well, including STEP, IGES, native CAD files, and PDF drawings. If you only have a sketch or sample, we can still start the conversation and help you get to a machinable definition through our DFM support.
